These days, Twitter brings a great deal of anxiety and despair to my life — I’ve noticed myself often holding my breath as I open the app — but I keep going back because it also brings the occasional unexpected good thing into my life. Indeed, just recently I discovered via Twitter that the portfolio of LA-based artist and illustrator Travis Millard (@theotherfudge), whose work includes cover art for the likes of EL-P and Dinosaur Jr, also includes quite a pleasing number of dogs. He’s even compiled an illustrated zine entitled Dogs to Know, which he describes as “a running portrait series of dog friends AND dog acquaintances.” You can check out Millard’s work, both canine and non-canine, at his site and in his shop, Fudge Factory Comics.
